Mike Puzey. Forming a passion!

I am going to write a few posts about Mike Puzey. He is the Design and Engineering mind behind the range of products that we live with. He is the person that mixes life experience, interaction with people and his own unique ideas to create fantastic products!

A great friend of Evo recently told me that meeting Mike and spending time chatting to him was so awesome that he could now imagine what it must have been like to meet visionaries like Henry Ford!

Now, that may be laying it on a bit, but it is clear that this boy is gifted and he has a unique ability to look at the world differently. His ideas are fresh.

He is a Zimbabwean (Southern Africa) by birth. The Puzey family in Zimbabwe is synonymous with motor vehicles. His Dad was a successful motor racer and almost made it to the start line of a Formula One grand prix. I think he raced for Lotus.

The picture here must have been taken when he was about 7 years old. His Dad used to make these little cars and sell them. Going to visit the Puzey's was always special as there was the chance to drive these cars. The problem was in being able to drive as fast as Mike or being able to slide the rear of the car into, and out of, turns like he could!

We all thought he would go on and race cars too. I know his Dad would have like this but it was not to be as Mike felt more for two wheels!

Serious Scooter Offers Dealership Diversity

Ken Morrison, the retired editor of the Power Equipment Trader wrote a spectacular article on the Evo 2X gas scooter. (article url below)

We, at Evo, are stoked about this article. It is an independent piece of journalism, is balanced and factual. Tricky issues are discussed. There are lots of unpalatable situations in our industry and we need to deal with them.

Ken is a man of immense standing in the Power Equipment industry and as a result there are a great many dealers who rely on his opinion. For these folks, he has to be spot on in his observations as they make important decisions as a result of them.

To those of you who have joined our Evo Powerboards family from Ken's readership, welcome. We value your partnership and we are here to grow with you.
