New Scooters

Well well well!
I am getting some interest for the MX. This bike is on the line and could be out sooner than any of us think.

Please do send me your comments.

Dave, I hope you are well out there, my friend. I seem to have missed your interaction now the forum is down.

Red Bull

I know that this post has been a long time in coming! I have just received these pictures from the event organisers. We had such a buzz with this event in Dubai.

Of course we wanted to win!

So we came 3rd in the end. I guess getting onto the podium in our first event was a great achievement.

The first picture is of Mike Puzey pushing the Pumpaplane off the runway.

The final picture is of the podium. Mike is back left with the intepid pilot Roy Dixon.

Thanks very much Red Bull for the event. To the organisers and helpers, our grateful thanks and we look forward to next year.

Small World

I read the gapingvoid blog most days. Hugh MacLeod has some fresh and wild opinions when it comes to the new world of marketeers. It helps too that he has a passion for wine and boats. I live in the Cape in South Africa
which is a great wine region and I love boats!

Well he mentioned fenderkicker, a yachting blog, a while back and imagine my complete surprise when I checked them out today and they have a post about the Pumpabike!

To remind you, Pumpabike is the human powered hydrofoil from Mike Puzey and Puzey Design. This ingenious machine allows the rider to 'walk on water'. It can be a little tiring but is easy to learn and is great fun.

We never know what is really going to happen tomorrow and so getting 'out there' with a few great stories about one's products is about as good a way to get traction as there is. The quality of the traction will surely improve the more people agree on the validity of the story.

Thanks for the mention in your awesome blog to the captain and crew at Fenderkicker!

Evo Power Pipes.

Folks! This is 'The Pipe Man'.

Chris Bosson is the wizzard who designed and manufactures all the Evo Powerpipes. They are all hand made. This means they are cut by hand, blown by hand, welded by hand and even packed by hand!!

I took these pics at one Friday Pit Bike race meeting. A real fun event for hard working folks like Chris who get together to have a blast and let off some steam at the end of the week. It really is family time too, as you can see in the pictures. Chris is not wheeling around a new style beer cooler but rather his 3 month old daughter as his wife is out on the track racing her Pit Bike!

Chris is also an Ex Zimbabwean and is a great friend of Mike Puzey's. They have known each other for ages. Chris does a bunch of work in the racing business in Cape Town. This is where he is best known. He does a bunch of custom work as well. A visit to his workshop is always extremely interesting as there are always new bikes there to have custom pipes designed, made and fitted. There are always bunches of race machines (2 and 4 wheeled) there too.

It is a cool little business that is run by Chris and his patient wife Marti.
